In an interview with Sputnik, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov announced that Moscow will confront the US policy approach of imposing a strategic defeat on Russia with all its means.
In this regard, he said: Our relations with the United States have reached a dead end, and the reason for this is the continuation of Washington’s anti-Russian line, which has intensified year by year and month by month over the past years, and now the entire security situation, including arms control, has reached a dangerous stage. .
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs further added: America wants to impose a strategic defeat on Russia, but we will use all means to prevent Russia’s defeat.
In another part of this conversation about the war in Ukraine, Ryabkov said that the US government is the main cause of the crisis in Ukraine and the main beneficiary of the continuation of the war in Ukraine.
According to this official of the Russian government, in the current situation and after the US decision to send tanks to Ukraine and the competition of Canada and other Western countries to send weapons to Ukraine, any dialogue with the puppet regime of Kiev is useless.
Ryabkov stated that “the US government benefits from the continuation of the war in Ukraine; “Especially by sending European weapons to Kiev,” he added: “With the departure of European military weapons to Ukraine, it is expected that the United States will impose billion-dollar military contracts on the Europeans.” It is clear that Washington is not only the main factor in the Ukraine crisis, but also the main beneficiary of it. It has turned Ukraine into a testing ground for its military industry’s products and is testing many weapons systems, including long-range systems, in Ukraine.
On February 24 the Russian army began its “special military operation” in eastern Ukraine; Senior Russian government officials say the operation was launched in response to a request from the heads of the autonomous republics of Donetsk and Luhansk to protect them from Ukrainian forces. According to Sputnik, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the purpose of this operation was “to support the people who were subjected to genocide and persecution by the Kiev regime for more than eight years.”
