MQM Pakistan Deputy Convener Nasreen Jalil has expressed concern over the sudden increase in the prices of petroleum products and said that the increase in prices will bring a storm of inflation in the country and it will directly affect the daily necessities. He said that instead of taxing the working class, the government should impose a full-fledged agricultural tax. Public agitation and restlessness is increasing.
Nasreen Jalil demanded that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif order to withdraw the increase in the prices of petroleum products.

President of Islamabad Chamber Ahsan Zafar Bakhtavari said that the one-time increase of 35 rupees in the price of petrol and diesel is worrisome.
