Professor of Al Madinah University: Islam’s position on Baha’i apostasy cannot be changed.
One of the prominent Sunni professors in the field of comparative studies of beliefs and religions stated that the Baha’i sect has dangerous ideas and Islam’s position regarding the Baha’i apostasy cannot be changed.
Dr. Emad Atieh Abdul Razzaq, a graduate of Al-Azhar University in Egypt and a prominent lecturer in the field of comparative religious studies at Al-Madinah International University in Malaysia, in an interview with Fars reporter, expressed his views on the latest statements and positions of Mawlavi Abdul Hamid. The imam of Makki Zahedan mosque explained in defense of Baha’is.
First, he said about the relationship between the Baha’i sect and the Islamic religion: “The Baha’i sect is an independent sect and has nothing to do with the Islamic religion. Baha’is have their own book called Aqdas. Baha’is are not included even in modern Islamic thought and new interpretations of Islam.”
This Sunni thinker further expressed his surprise at the statements of the imam of a mosque in Zahedan and clarified: “In truth, I consider these statements to be far from true and correct; I reject the opinion of Sheikh [Maulvi Abdul Hameed] in general and in detail.”
In another part of his talk about the reasons for rejecting the Baha’i sect in Islam, Emad Atiya Abdul Razzaq said: “Being apostate of the Baha’is means that the people of this profession were Muslims first and then took the path of apostasy against Islam.”
Al-Madinah University professor added: “Islam’s position on the apostasy of the Baha’is and their apostasy is not a new phenomenon, and therefore it is not possible to change the position.” Now Baha’i has become an independent religion that has its own beliefs; A religion that is against all Islamic traditions and beliefs.
