Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has said that the we will not let caretakers of the Election Commission to run punjab.
Talking to the media in Lahore, the Chief Minister said that the Election Commission is making cases against Imran Khan on a daily basis, in such a case, questions are raised about his bias.
He said that if the Chief Election Commissioner appoints the Chief Minister of Punjab, he will not let him go and will go to court against this move, we are very well aware of the thinking and intention of the Election Commission.
On the other hand, Speaker Punjab Assembly Sabtain Khan has issued a notification for the establishment of a 6-member parliamentary committee based on government and opposition members for the appointment of caretaker chief minister, whose meeting has been called on January 20, 2023 at 3 pm in the Punjab Assembly.

Muslim League-N leader and Member of Assembly Malik Ahmad Khan raised objection to PTI’s initiative and said that now the name cannot be changed or taken out, constitutionally this is a wrong step and the names that were given earlier will be considered.
