America: In the next 6 months, we will have to choose between arming ourselves and Ukraine.
US Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro said on Wednesday local time: We have to choose between arming the US Navy or Ukraine.
In an interview with reporters in Arlington, this US Navy official added: America must choose between the armed forces of the US Navy or Ukraine in the next six months.
American media say that most of the weapons sent by America to Ukraine are ground weapons and American naval weapons have not yet been transferred to this country, however Del Toro mentioned on the sidelines of a conference the need for America to choose between itself and Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the war, America has provided unprecedented military aid to Ukraine and hopes that Kiev will be able to take back the captured parts of its territory from Ukraine.
In its latest action, the United States announced on Friday that it has allocated another $3 billion military aid package to Ukraine, which includes armored vehicles known as “Bradley”.
White House spokeswoman Karin Jean-Pierre announced that the new package will include howitzers and armored personnel carriers.
Since the beginning of the war between Russia and Ukraine on February 24 of this year, Washington has allocated about 68 billion dollars in financial aid to Kyiv.
Germany has also announced that it will provide Ukraine with armored vehicles called “Marder” and the Patriot missile system.
Germany’s decision was made after France announced that it would negotiate with Kiev on the delivery of armored assault vehicles to Ukraine.
