Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that there is no compromise on national peace, terrorism is intolerable.
In a statement on the social networking website Twitter, the Prime Minister explained about the decisions of the National Security Committee meeting yesterday and said that the NSC took important decisions after several hours of consultation, two of which are prominent.
Terming terrorism as intolerable, the Prime Minister said that it has been decided in the meeting that the state will adopt a zero tolerance policy for terrorists challenging the writ of Pakistan and there will be no compromise on peace.
The Prime Minister said that the economic road map will restore the country’s economy and also create relief for the people.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shabaz Sharif has telephoned his Malaysian counterpart Ismail Sabri Yaqub and congratulated him on assuming the post of Prime Minister. The Prime Minister expressed his best wishes for the new Prime Minister and the people of Malaysia.
Both the Prime Ministers agreed to further strengthen close brotherly relations between Pakistan and Malaysia and to enhance bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest including trade and investment. The Prime Minister invited the Malaysian counterpart to participate in the Donors Conference to be held in Geneva on January 9.
The Prime Minister informed about the organization of Donors Conference for the relief and rehabilitation of flood victims of Pakistan, on which the Malaysian Prime Minister assured to send a high level delegation to the Donors Conference. Apart from this, the Prime Minister also invited the Malaysian counterpart to visit Pakistan, which he accepted and invited Shehbaz Sharif to visit Malaysia as well.
