Srinagar : The All Parties Hurriyat Conference in Occupied Kashmir has termed the Kashmir issue as an important link in Pak-India relations and said that Pak-India relations are meaningless till the Kashmir issue is resolved.
According to details, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference in Occupied Kashmir welcomed the exchange of letters between the Prime Ministers of Pakistan and India and said that all these developments without focusing on resolving the Kashmir dispute are meaningless and useless. ۔
According to Kashmir Media Service, Maulvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani, General Secretary, All Parties Hurriyat Conference, said in a statement issued in Srinagar that unless such a serious approach is taken to resolve the Kashmir issue, there is no point in making such progress.
He said that dialogue between the two countries was of no importance to Kashmiris without progress in resolving the Kashmir issue.
He urged both the countries to show seriousness in resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
He said that although the exchange of letters between Imran Khan and Narendra Modi was a good start, it was important for the two leaders to focus on the Kashmir issue so that it could be resolved peacefully in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
Maulvi Bashir said that both the countries have the best opportunity to resolve the Kashmir issue and they should start fruitful talks.
He said that Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan is a fundamental issue and till this issue is resolved, bilateral relations will not improve and lasting peace will not be established in the region.
The Hurriyat leader said that these steps would be important for the Kashmiri people only when their goal was to resolve the Kashmir issue.
Meanwhile, Imtiaz Ahmed Rishi, Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Young Men’s League, in a statement issued in Srinagar, urged the international community to play its role in alleviating the sufferings and hardships of the Kashmiri people and giving them rights.
Amitaz Ahmed Reshi visited the homes of people affected by Indian state terrorism in different parts of South Kashmir to express solidarity.
