Two billion dollars aid from the international community to Afghanistan in the past year.
The Central Bank of Afghanistan announces the arrival of another cash aid package worth 40 million dollars to Kabul. This was the 51st package of cash that has been given to Afghanistan under Taliban rule.
According to the announcement of this bank, since the beginning of Taliban rule, about two billion dollars have been donated to Afghanistan.
The central bank said in a statement yesterday that the money was transferred to a commercial bank after it arrived.
Although the international community has not recognized the Taliban so far, it emphasizes that it does not provide cash to this government and provides aid to those who need it urgently.
Considering the aid of nearly two billion dollars, there has been no positive change in people’s lives, and the situation is even getting worse.
According to the latest statistics of the United Nations relief agencies, the number of people in need of food in Afghanistan will reach more than 28 million in 2023, which shows an increase of 10 million compared to 2021.
The Department of Child Protection said last week that about 15 million children in Afghanistan will be in need of food next year, which will increase the number of children who are malnourished.
