Erdogan: There are no winners or losers in the war in Ukraine.
During a press conference at the end of the G20 summit in Ndonzi, the Turkish president talked about various issues, including the explosion in Istanbul, the war in Ukraine, relations with the United States and tensions with Greece.
At first, Erdogan mentioned the issue of terrorist bombing and explosion in Istanbul and said: “We expect all our friends and allies to sincerely support Turkey’s legitimate fight against terrorism.” Those who support terrorism should reconsider their behavior and stop supporting terrorist organizations.
According to “Anatolia” news agency, he explained about the involvement of the PKK terrorist group: “Parties supporting the PKK terrorist organization are also involved in every drop of blood shed under the pretext of fighting ISIS.” We do not have a problem with the Kurdish people and we do not target Kurdish civilians.
The Turkish president added: “The investigation into the terrorist bombing in Istanbul continues, and we will not stop fighting against terrorist organizations. We will resolutely continue to implement our strategy to eradicate the threat of terrorism. Terrorists cannot escape the painful end that awaits them, no matter what they do and no matter what they hide behind. I reiterate that there is no terrorism in the future of our country and region.
Erdogan also informed about the talks with US President Joe Biden and the issue of buying F-16 fighter jets from the US: “Biden told me that there are positive developments in the case of these fighters.”
Stating that millions of people around the world are facing hunger, he stated: “Our negotiations on the grain agreement continue and I think it will continue for now and there is no problem. “When we meet with [Vladimir] Putin, we will talk about the transfer of fertilizer and ammonia through the grain agreement, and we will seek to extend the contract by one year.”
The Turkish president continued: “We are looking to bring the presidents of Russia and Ukraine to the same table for negotiations. There will be no winners in the Ukraine war and no losers in peace. We are committed to dialogue to stop the war between Russia and Ukraine in order to achieve peace.
