The dispute between the representatives of the United States and England with the representative of Russia in the meeting of the Security Council.
The representatives of the United States and the United Kingdom argued with the representative of Russia at the meeting of the United Nations Security Council about the claims related to the American biological weapons program in Ukraine.
The meeting of the United Nations Security Council on Thursday became the scene of a verbal dispute between the representatives of the United States and England with the representative of Russia.
According to the report of IB Times, representatives of the United States and its allies in this meeting claimed that Russia wasted the time of the United Nations by raising the American biological military program in Ukraine.
So far, Russia has raised the issue of American biological weapons in Ukraine twice in the UN Security Council meetings. America and Ukraine claim that they do not have biological weapons.
“How much more of this nonsense are we going to have to put up with?” British Ambassador to the United Nations Barbara Woodward told Russia’s Vassily Nebenzia at Thursday’s meeting.
Russia recently asked the United Nations to officially investigate the matter. Moscow drafted a resolution in the Security Council and called for the formation of a commission consisting of all 15 members of this council to investigate these claims.
US Representative Linda Thomas Greenfield also called Russia’s documents about the existence of a biological weapons program “pure fakes” and claimed that these statements are made without any evidence.
He claimed that in Ukraine there is no laboratory for making biological weapons supported by Washington. He claimed that Ukraine, like many countries, has a laboratory infrastructure to protect itself against infectious diseases.
“This meeting is a waste of time and is designed to distract from Russia’s crimes in Ukraine and a failed tactic to justify an unjustifiable war,” Greenfield said.
