The Prime Minister of the Netherlands considered the energy supply situation to be worrying.
On Tuesday, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands acknowledged the alarming situation of energy supply and electricity prices in his country.
Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said on Tuesday that the energy situation and electricity prices are a big concern for everyone in the Netherlands.
“The energy situation and prices are causing great concern for everyone in the Netherlands,” Rutte wrote in a post on Twitter. Therefore, it is good that today we are in Berlin together with a government delegation to discuss this issue with the government of Olaf Schultz, the Chancellor of Germany. “Climate and energy issues are key areas on which we work closely together.”
According to “Sputnik” news agency, the Dutch government also announced its ability to spend 23.5 billion euros to compensate the increasing costs of electricity and gas for consumers in this country.
The Dutch government announced in a statement: “The total costs depend on the changes in energy prices. If energy prices remain at the same level, the total cost of applying the price cap and price compensation for the months of November and December is estimated to be around 23.5 billion euros.
Following the start of Russia’s special operations in Ukraine in February 2022, European countries began to impose sanctions against Russia and provide all kinds of financial and weapons aid to Ukraine. These sanctions further affected the process of energy export from Russia to Europe by giving the opposite result and intensified the concerns of Europeans in the field of gas supply and the increase in the cost of electricity production for consumers.
