The breakdown of the 65,000-ton British aircraft carrier in the waters off the coast of this country, which was supposed to go to America for a training mission, has made news.
The British “Sky News” channel reported in a news report, citing officials, that the British aircraft carrier “HMS Prince of Wales” broke down shortly after it started to leave for America.
According to the report, the 65,000-ton ship is said to have suffered a “severe technical failure,” but unofficial reports indicate that the ship’s starboard propeller shaft was damaged.

This ship is the second aircraft carrier that England has.
A spokesperson for HMS Prince of Wales said in a statement published by Sky News and other media that the ship had suffered a “mechanical problem” and that an investigation into the problem was underway.
Sky News wrote: “The £3 billion aircraft carrier, which only became fully operational late last year, is reportedly moored southeast of the Isle of Wight to investigate its problem.”
A spokesman for the Royal Navy also announced: “HMS Prince of Wales remains in the south coast training area while investigations are carried out into a mechanical problem”.
The HMS Prince of Wales was wrecked on Saturday shortly after it set sail for the United States from the waters off the port city of Portmouth.
