Mahathir Muhammad: Biden is inefficient and anti-Islamic / America is seeking to incite war in Ukraine.
Mahathir Mohamad, who has been the prime minister of Malaysia for two terms and has long been known as a critic of the West, warned that the United States is antagonizing China through the recent trips of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and others to Taiwan.
97-year-old Mahathir added: China considers Taiwan as its territory and such visits as interference in its affairs. If [China] wanted to attack, it could. They did not. But America incites a war so that the Chinese will make this mistake and occupy Taiwan. Then there is the excuse for the US to help Taiwan, even fight China and sell lots of weapons to Taiwan.
Muhammad also called US President Biden an “ineffective” leader and said: “He’s kind of very anti-Islamic, he doesn’t behave fairly.” He allows Israel to commit all kinds of crimes, genocides and does nothing. He supports them.
He also criticized the European Union regarding Russia’s war against Ukraine and said: What NATO is doing, what the European Union is doing is to further provoke and ask Ukrainians for war. They promised to admit Ukraine [to NATO membership], but they didn’t.
Mahathir also said of his country’s elections that the United Malays National Organization (Umno) would likely win a “big victory” if early polls were held. He believes that many rural Malay voters turned to Umno because they were offered money and other incentives. He said: I think they want to hold general elections this year. If possible, maybe for another two or three months, because they feel that at this moment, people are still looking at them and the opposition is disorganized and disorganized.
Mahathir was the prime minister of the Umno party for 22 years until his retirement in 2003. At 93, Mahathir became the world’s oldest head of state, but his reformist coalition fell apart in less than two years due to defections.
Mahathir, 97, has now formed a new Pejuang party and a Malay alliance, Pejuang and a Malay, to contest the 120 seats in the Malay-dominated parliament. He said his mission is the same: to “cleanse” the country and form a corruption-free government.
“I don’t know about running for prime minister, but if I’m strong enough, if I’m healthy enough, if they want me to run, I’ll run. I’ll fight, even if I lose,” he said. I will fight because I believe in principles. I believe that this great country can become a developed country
In the election, if he wins, Mahathir said he expects the United Malays National Government to seek amnesty for him – and once he is pardoned (and fully exonerated) he can become prime minister.
