Chinese media: Beijing is ready to sell its fifth generation fighters to the UAE.
According to a Chinese media, Beijing is ready to provide its fifth generation J-20 fighter jets to Abu Dhabi at the same time as the US blocks the sale of F-35 to the UAE.
According to the Chinese website “Sina”, Beijing is ready to supply its fifth-generation J-20 fighters to Abu Dhabi if the United States avoids selling F-35 fighters to the UAE.
According to this media, the UAE is facing problems in the way of buying F-35 fighter jets from the United States, and Abu Dhabi and Washington have not yet signed the contract for the purchase of these fighters, although the sale of these fighters to the UAE was already announced verbally.
The Chinese website continued to write: “The United States may consider Israel’s concerns in this regard, because Tel Aviv does not want its Arab neighbors in the region to have the latest technology in military equipment.”
Sina added: “China can use this situation to its advantage. The Biden government has stopped the massive sale of arms to the UAE and the relations between the two sides are not in a good condition. On the other hand, the absence of America in the Abu Dhabi defense exhibition turned doubts about the unfavorable relations between the parties into certainty. Therefore, if America is not ready to sell F-35 fighters to the UAE, then China can provide its J-20 fighters to the UAE.”
According to the Sina website, the United States has sent this signal to the Persian Gulf countries that it cannot be a permanent ally of these countries, Washington cancels its decisions without any explanation, and it is clear that in this situation the Arab countries will also receive this signal. And they will come to the conclusion that there are more reliable partners in the world.
It should be noted that the first rumors about the sale of F-35 fighter jets between the United Arab Emirates and the United States came during the Donald Trump era following the compromise agreement between Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates, and since then this deal has not made any progress.
The Chengdu J-20 (Big Dragon) is the most important product of China’s military technology, which has grown at an unprecedented rate in the past decade. After the United States and Russia, China is the third country in the world to develop the fifth generation of stealth combat aircraft.
