The Egyptian delegation’s to Gaza and Tel Aviv with the aim of establishing a ceasefire.
Palestinian sources announced the visit of a high-ranking Egyptian security delegation to Tel Aviv and the Gaza Strip in the coming days.
Some Palestinian media said that a high-ranking security delegation will travel to Tel Aviv and the Gaza Strip in the coming days with the aim of reviewing the stabilization of the ceasefire and trying to end the case of “Khalil Awadeh” and “Bassam Al-Saadi”, two prisoners of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement.
“Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed” website quoted these sources and wrote that “Abbas Kamel”, the head of the Egyptian Intelligence Service, will probably head this security board.
According to these sources, the Egyptians are serious about the Awadeh and Al-Saadi case and are trying to prevent a renewed conflict between the Islamic Jihad movement and the Zionist regime.
On the other hand, Daoud Shahab, the head of the Islamic Jihad Movement’s media office, emphasized that this movement is in continuous contact with the Egyptian brothers regarding the two mentioned prisoners, especially Awadeh, whose condition is critical.
In the recent three-day war against the Gaza Strip, the Zionist regime killed 49 Palestinians, including 17 children and four women, and a ceasefire was established in Gaza with the mediation of Egypt.
The Islamic Jihad movement had announced conditions for establishing a ceasefire, including the release of Awadeh and Al-Saadi.
