ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that an unnecessary controversy was created over my non-participation in the funeral prayers of the martyrs of the helicopter crash. Who are neither familiar with our culture nor our religion.
He said on the social media website Twitter that how can we insult the memory of those who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country? The position of the martyr is clear in the Holy Quran and Allah Almighty has given him eternal life.
Dr. Arif Alvi further said that like Pakistanis, I have been acknowledging the martyrs all my life, since the people of Pakistan entrusted me with the responsibility of this House, I have spoken to the families of hundreds of martyrs and also attended the funerals. And met the families.
President Mamlik said that I consider it my duty to do this on behalf of the nation, although the families are proud of the sacrifices, but we feel their grief and severe personal loss in this world.
He said that it is especially difficult to condole with those families who have left behind young children, when the families of the martyrs cried, I also cried, there is no doubt in my mind that the reason Pakistan is safe is beacuse of these great sacrifices .
Dr. Arif Alvi said that this is what make me feel proud about Pakistan
