Sending US military equipment to a base on the Syrian border.
A security source announced the sending of American military equipment to a base in the al-Walid crossing located on the border between Iraq and Syria.
A security source said that some US military equipment was sent from Ain al-Assad Air Base in al-Baghdadi district in Anbar to a base near al-Walid crossing on the Syrian border.
The “Al-Malouma” website reported, quoting this source, that the American forces sent a large group equipped with warplanes to the said base.
This source added that the American bases located in Syria also witnessed some similar measures to deal with any possible event, especially since these bases are targeted by missile attacks from time to time.
Ain al-Assad airbase located in the west of Anbar occasionally sees military equipment sent from Basra, Baghdad and other provinces, as well as equipment that is transported from outside Iraq by cargo planes.
