Erdogan: We will buy more oil and gas from Iran.
In a TV interview, the President of Turkey announced the purchase of more oil and natural gas from Iran.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the increase in the purchase of oil and gas from Iran in a conversation with one of the country’s media on Monday night Tehran time.
Erdogan said in an interview with “TRT” news channel: “Turkey will increase its purchase of oil and natural gas from Iran.”
In this interview, he stated that the trade volume between Iran and Turkey will reach 30 billion dollars per year. Erdogan announced eight important agreements with Iranian officials during his recent trip to Tehran.
In his recent press conference with Iran’s President Ayatollah Raisi in Tehran, the President of Turkey stated: “We had a bilateral meeting with my dear brother and we successfully held and concluded the 7th meeting of the High Cooperation Council between Turkey and Iran.” . We believe that consultations will lead to a leap in improving relations.”
He said that he considers Ayatollah Raisi’s vision of Iran’s relations with its neighbors very valuable, and added: In political, military, economic and cultural matters, the relevant ministers of the two countries consulted in a bilateral meeting.
The President of Turkey said: “Our goal is to reach the trade volume of 30 billion dollars. Unfortunately, due to the corona disease, this volume of trade decreased significantly, and this volume has now reached 7 billion dollars, therefore, I believe that with the determination of the two countries, we will be able to reach the volume of trade of 30 billion dollars. Also, by taking steps in the field of oil and natural gas, we can speed this up.”
