The federal government has decided to crack down on those who harass , misbehave and do character assasination on social media. According to details, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Home Minister Rana Sanaullah. A and acting chairman NADRA Khalid Latif and other officials were present.
The meeting reviewed the issues of harassment of citizens and uploading of immoral videos on social media, besides issues related to blackmailing and harassment of citizens and their immorality.
The meeting, chaired by Rana Sana, decided to crack down on those who promote immoral content on social media, harass citizens and tarnish their image through immorality.
The meeting also decided to make effective laws on cyber crime, especially harassment and insulting content uploading and advertising.
Addressing the meeting, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah directed to take stern and immediate action against those involved in cyber crime and said that it was not acceptable to tarnish the image of citizens through insulting material and immorality.
Rana Sana said that spreading immoral and insulting material on social media could lead to chaos and disorder in the society, adding that strict action would be taken against those involved in such crimes and action would be taken without any discrimination.
He further said that the concerned agencies should adopt zero tolerance policy against the violators of moral values in the society, citizens should send their complaints to the FIA contact numbers and the complaints would be processed without any delay.
