KARACHI: A special anti-terrorism court has rejected a police report acquitting MQM leader and former federal minister Babar Ghauri.
The case of applause and facilitation of provocative speech was heard in a special anti-terrorism court, where police acquitted MQM leader Babar Ghauri. Presenting in court, the police said that no concrete evidence was found against Babar Ghauri.
The court rejected the police report and ordered that a report be prepared in accordance with the law. Not in accordance with section 497. Report should be made under section 169. The court inquired that if you did not find evidence and the accused was not named in the case then why he was not released.
The court directed the investigating officer to submit a new report within 20 minutes, on which the police took Babar Ghauri back in an armored vehicle. The court named the investigating officer but no one was present. The court later summoned the investigating officer again.
