Severe damage to CAA installations at Karachi Airport due to torrential rains

Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) installations at Karachi Airport have been severely damaged by recent torrential rains.

According to the CAA, the lights of Runway 25R of Karachi Airport have been damaged due to recent torrential rains. The runway lights were short-circuited during the rains.

So far, the runway 25R lights have not been repaired. Passenger Boarding Bridge No. 16 of Karachi Airport was also severely damaged.
The authority said it had notified all airlines about the situation through Notum.
