Poll: Netanyahu will win the next election.
The results of a poll in the occupied territories showed that opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition will win the upcoming Knesset elections.
A new poll showed that a coalition of parties loyal to former Israeli prime minister and opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu may win 61 seats in the upcoming elections, easily forming the Tel Aviv cabinet.
According to the report of “Russia Elium” news site, the survey conducted by the “Panels Politics” institute for the “Maariu” newspaper showed that Netanyahu’s coalition can reach the necessary votes to form the cabinet without any party changing its position. It is predicted that the representatives of “Yamina” and “Mirtes” parties, which are both parties of the current cabinet coalition, will get less votes to enter the Knesset.
The poll predicted that if elections were held today, Netanyahu’s Likud party would win 36 seats, its strongest performance in recent weeks. As for Yesh Atid party, led by interim Prime Minister Yair Lapid, it will be the second largest party with 23 representatives.
In this survey, the extreme right party “Religious Zionism” led by “Basal El Smotrich” will occupy the third place with 10 seats. The “Blue and White” party affiliated with “Benny Gantz”, the Minister of War of the Zionist regime, came fourth with 9 seats.
These results come from the latest poll conducted in the occupied territories, when Netanyahu, as the leader of the opposition, tried for months to topple the Naftali Bennett cabinet and form an alternative cabinet instead of waiting for early elections. With Lapid’s efforts and his party’s coordination with Bennett, the Knesset was dissolved and Lapid became the prime minister, and things moved forward in Tel Aviv.
