The request of the Foreign Minister of Ukraine to speed up military aid to Kiev.
In a phone call with his American and German counterparts, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called for the acceleration of Western military aid to Kiev with the aim of confronting Russia.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Koleba announced that he had a phone call with his American counterpart Anthony Blinken and his German counterpart Analena Baerbock and discussed the war with Russia.
Kolba, who wrote on his Twitter page on Wednesday evening that he had a phone call with Blinken and Baerbok, called for the acceleration of Western military aid to Kiev with the aim of confronting Russia.
He explained about the conversation with Blinken: “I spoke with Blinken before the G20 ministerial meeting, where we will focus on Russian aggression and prevent the spread of Russian lies.”
Appreciating the sending of American weapons to the country, the Foreign Minister of Ukraine continued: “We are grateful for the military assistance of the United States. “We coordinated actions to accelerate the supply of heavy weapons from the United States and other partners.”
Kolba also wrote about his phone call with Baerbok: “I called Baerbok before the meeting of the G20 ministers. “We both agreed to put pressure on Russia.”
He also added: “I emphasized the urgent need to increase the supply of German howitzer self-propelled artillery and multiple rocket launchers to Ukraine.” We also coordinated the next steps to remove the blockage of Ukrainian food exports.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also claimed: “Russia sees the territory of our country as a foothold to take over other European countries. This means that ensuring the security of Ukraine means providing long-term security for all of Europe.”
At the same time, the Russian Foreign Ministry warned about the consequences of NATO expansion and said that the meeting of the heads of this alliance showed that they do not want to end the tension in the Ukraine war.
