Jordan: No Arab-Israeli NATO; Everyone wants good relations with Iran.
The Jordanian foreign minister denied the plan to form an Arab-Israeli NATO, adding that all Arab countries want good relations with Tehran.
Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi denied any military alliance that the Israeli regime is part of, saying it was not on the agenda of US President Joe Biden’s visit to the region.
In an interview with Al-Jazeera, he stressed: “There is no talk of an Arab coalition of which Israel is a part, and there is not even such a plan.”
Al-Jazeera wrote that the Jordanian Foreign Minister denied the reports of the Western and Israeli media about the determination of Tel Aviv and the Arab countries to form a military coalition against Iran with the help of the United States.
Ayman al-Safadi continued his conversation by focusing on the Palestinian issue, the importance of the Syrian crisis and the security of the Persian Gulf countries: “We all want mechanisms to ensure our security through dialogue and solving problems along with energy and food security … There are challenges That requires us all to work, and we will talk to the United States about this.
He then said: “All Arab countries want good relations with Iran and in order to reach this stage, all factors of tension must be resolved through dialogue.”
Recently, King Abdullah II of Jordan, in an interview with US networks, spoke of the possibility of forming a military alliance in West Asia, similar to NATO, and noted that the prospects for such a coalition should be very clear.
