Al-Mayadin was quoted by informed sources as saying that the commander of Moghawir al-Thawra had gone to Saudi Arabia about two weeks ago and met with local officials in the country.
The sources stressed that a plan is underway to re-support Mawawir al-Thawra or to protect it against Syrian-Russian attacks, especially after Russia targeted some of the group’s positions in al-Tanf.
According to the report, the pioneer group of Maghawir al-Thawra has arrived in al-Hasakah province and has been stationed in two bases in Hay al-Zahour and a village south of al-Hasakah, and their mission is unknown.
Al-Mayadin added that the coalition is likely to ensure that Syrian government forces do not have access to oil resources in Deir ez-Zor in the event of any retreat of border forces in the border areas following a possible Turkish attack.
