Lahore: Due to PPP’s objections, the issue of including 20 ministers and advisors in the Punjab cabinet was postponed again and the name of Punjab Finance Minister could not be finalized.
According to Express News, after the consultation between the coalition parties was completed, about 20 ministers and advisers were to be included in the Punjab cabinet today for which the oath was to be taken. The swearing-in was postponed hours ago.
According to reports, Rana Mashhood, Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Khawaja Imran Nazir, Ayub Gadhi, Yawar Zaman, Malik Tanveer Aslam, Bilal Yaseen, Saif-ul-Muluk Khokhar, Zakia Shah Nawaz, Manshaullah Butt, Jahangir Khanzada, Col (retd) Tariq, Azmi Bukhari, Kazim Ali Pirzada, Malik Nadeem Kamran, Khalil Tahir Sindhu and Chaudhry Iqbal Gujjar are likely to join the cabinet, who were still missing due to non-swearing in.
According to sources, the matter came to light due to strong reservations of the PPP, which had sought important scribes for its ministers after taking oath to resign as finance minister. If the issue of Qalamdan between PML-N and PPP is not settled then this issue will be settled only after the budget.
The main reason for the cancellation of the oath was that the name for the Punjab Finance Minister was not finalized while the allies had decided that the name would be finalized before the budget is presented on June 13.
