Yemeni Parliament: International law should be drafted to criminalize insulting the Prophet (PBUH)
In response to the insult of the ruling party of India to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Yemeni parliament stressed that such insults show the extent of the moral and value degeneration of these people.
The Yemeni parliament on Monday evening strongly condemned the insult of the ruling party of India to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and his wives.
The official Yemeni news agency (Saba) quoted the Yemeni institution as saying that the insults provoke the feelings of Muslims and that such an action is generally rejected and unacceptable.
The Yemeni parliament noted that such insults show the extent of the moral and value degeneration of these people, noting that this insult is not only directed at the Prophet, but at all Muslims.
Emphasizing that this insult should not be silenced, the Yemeni institution stated that such irresponsible statements should not be made without the punishment of the perpetrators and with the clear position of the Indian government.
The Yemeni parliament, noting that the silence of some Arab and Islamic countries in the face of these insults has led to such stances, called on the Arab and Islamic countries to stand firm against this issue and call for the drafting of an international law to criminalize such insults.
Following the insult of Navin Kumar Jindal, the spokesman of the extremist party “Bharatiya Janata” as the ruling party of India to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the increase of protests, the party issued a statement announcing his suspension.
“We respect all religions and oppose any ideology that seeks to insult any religion or belief, and the Indian constitution, while respecting all religions, gives them freedom of belief,” the ruling party said in a statement.
After Jindal tweeted and spread politeness to the Holy Prophet (PBUH), many users reacted and demanded sanctions and confrontation with the Indian government. By inserting the hashtag “#ala_ Rasoolullah_ya_modi”, they considered this action of the spokesperson of the ruling party of India as a continuation of the extremist and anti-Islamic policy of the government of “Narinda Modi”, the prime minister of this country.
