Adel al-Jubeir, a former Saudi foreign minister and current Saudi foreign minister, claims that the Yemenis are using Iranian missiles and drones to attack deep into Saudi territory.
Speaking to Arab News, he claimed: “All the missiles and drones are made in Iran or supplied by Iran, and as we said before, some of this equipment comes from the north and some by sea. ».
The claim comes as the Saudi-led Arab Coalition has been besieging the country from all sides since the start of the Yemeni war.
“The United Nations holds the Iranians responsible for the attack on the Baqiq oil field, so it is clear where these missiles are coming from,” Adel al-Jubeir added.
The former Saudi foreign minister’s conversation with the English-language section of Arab News Network followed the escalation of missile and drone strikes by the Yemeni army and popular committees and the heavy defeat of his country in the Yemeni war.
Al-Jubeir continued the conversation, referring to Washington’s policy towards Riyadh, saying that “the policy of US administration led by Biden towards Saudi Arabia has not changed with the policy of the previous administration led by Trump.” Riyadh continues to believe that normalization of its relations with Israel is possible only after a compromise agreement with the Palestinians is reached,” he said, referring to his country’s stance on normalizing relations with Israel.
