Lahore: Ministers in Punjab have been banned from using government petrol.
Provincial Minister and Punjab government spokesman Ataullah Tarar while talking to media said that not all ministers in Punjab will take government petrol but will bring petrol from their own pockets.
He said that ministers going for government work would also bring petrol at personal expense. Besides, it has been decided to impose immediate ban on extravagant expenditure on the Chief Minister’s House. No new vehicles will be procured and no office will be renovated.
Ataullah Tarar further said that a major relief package would be announced in the coming days. All resources will be used to control inflation. More subsidy programs will be introduced for the people. People’s money will be spent on the people.
The provincial minister said that Imran Khan was still building on government money and using the helicopter of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government. When we were in government, inflation was 4% and now it is 14%.
