Landing of a plane from Tel Aviv in Riyadh.
A plane carrying Israeli businessmen from Tel Aviv origin landed at Riyadh Airport yesterday, without the formal signing of an agreement between the two sides, as the normalization of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia continued.
Ita Blumenthal, a reporter for the Israeli Channel 11’s airfield, reported that a plane carrying Israeli and American businessmen had landed at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport at Riyadh Airport with the aim of holding meetings in the Saudi capital.
Zionist media had previously reported that a number of Israeli-American businessmen were scheduled to travel to Riyadh on a N718JJ flight from Tel Aviv.
According to the report, the plane continued its journey to Riyadh Airport yesterday (June 1st) after landing at Amman Airport in Jordan.
The Israeli economic newspaper “Globes” wrote late last week that these businessmen are concluding “big deals” with the Saudi side; Saudi businessmen and mutual funds are making face-to-face contacts to operate in Israel.
“We have been in indirect contact with Saudi Arabia for more than twenty years; “But I do not remember the kind of growth we have seen in recent months.”
“The process is quite clear: increase normalization activities without signing a formal agreement,” said Salah al-Nami, an Israeli affairs expert. “The Globes confirms that Saudi Arabia has already opened its doors to the Israelis.”
“But the Zionists do not have free food,” he added. Israel needs a lot of security measures to hand over the Tiran and Sanafir islands to Saudi Arabia. “On the other hand, Israel is committed to two key factors in the normalization process with Saudi Arabia: not allowing Riyadh to acquire quality weapons and not to interfere in the fighting in the bin Salman area.”
