RAWALPINDI: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa presented medals to the families of the martyrs.
According to ISPR, in a ceremony held at GHQ, the Commander-in-Chief conferred military honors on those who told stories of courage and bravery for the nation during the operations.
In this regard, ISPR said that families of martyrs also participated in the ceremony, 48 officers were awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz Military while three junior commissioned officers and 30 soldiers were awarded Basalt medals A large number of recipient families attended the event.
According to ISPR, while addressing the awards ceremony at GHQ, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that today we again recognize the sacrifices of the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the motherland and pay homage to the brave grandsons of the country. “I always say that our real heroes are our martyrs, they are our conquerors, and nations that forget their martyrs or heroes are wiped out,” he added.
Speaking on the occasion, General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that a martyr who is as long as the world exists, his name will always shine, the martyr earned his name in this world as well as in the hereafter, as stated That a drop of blood of a martyr is forgiven before it falls.
The Army Chief said that the martyr not only forgives himself but also opens the way to paradise for his heirs. No nation, no country can offer the sacrifice of its martyrs.
