The UN special envoy for Yemen spoke about the latest developments in the country. He claimed to be trying to extend the ceasefire without mentioning the continuation of the Saudi aggression against Yemen.
“We are trying to overcome the challenges facing Yemen,” the UN special envoy said, according to the report. In his remarks, the British figure made no reference to the repeated violations of the ceasefire by the Saudi aggression coalition.
Grundberg’s remarks about the ceasefire in Yemen come as Ali al-Qahoum, a member of the Yemeni Ansarullah movement’s political bureau, had previously warned Saudi Arabia in a conversation with the Al-Ahd website about continuing ceasefire violations.
He stressed that the Yemeni armed forces will never remain indifferent to these aggressions and have many options in response to the repeated violation of the ceasefire by Saudi Arabia. Al-Qahoum added: “The Yemeni armed forces have developed a kind of strategic weapon that can be used against Saudi Arabia if the aggression continues.”
