The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to take help from the decision of the Supreme Court in the case of deviant members. He approached the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court had ruled on the presidential reference yesterday. The Chief Election Commissioner has convened an important meeting in this regard in which the decision of the Supreme Court will be reviewed.
According to the report, in the case of deviant members, help will be sought from the decision of the Supreme Court. The Election Commission will decide the case in the light of the decision of the Supreme Court. The decision on disqualification references against has been postponed and the case of references has been delisted by the Election Commission. The ECP has said that the decision on disqualification references against deviant members will not be announced today. Notices will be issued to the parties before the decision is announced.
The ECP had yesterday reserved judgment on references against PTI deviant members of the Punjab Assembly, which was to be announced today. It has been reported that the Election Commission wants to consider the decision of the Supreme Court before announcing the decision of the deviant members of the Punjab Assembly. Meanwhile, PTI Punjab President and former Federal Minister Shafqat Mehmood has said that the Election Commission does not understand whether the deviant members have left the party or not.
