London:
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s Samadhi and PML-N leader Ishaq Dar has said that no ruling coalition has come to stay in the government for a year and a half. Our party’s priority is early elections. During a conversation on a private TV program, he was asked if government ministers had made statements that the assembly would complete its term, to which he replied that the Election Commission had said that we could not hold elections before October.
He said that the priority was that when we ourselves were saying that the election was rigged then we should all go to the new election, forget what happened. He said that the opinion of government ministers is not party policy. For life, Quaid-e-Azam Nawaz Sharif wanted clean and transparent elections as soon as possible so that the people would have a chance to elect their representatives.
Ishaq Dar said that our priority is the same as the statements of Mian Nawaz Sharif that as soon as possible we will go to the polls to handle the important issues of the country. His priority is still the same. He said that if the PTI had performed well then perhaps we would have waited patiently for five whole years. The PML-N decided that we should stop it.
“We have to do the necessary work and go to the polls. I don’t think any coalition has come because we have to stay in government for a whole year and a half,” he said. We have to talk face to face. He said that the worst negotiators for the current program are the IMF and the World Bank. Who are the ones to tell us where our money should be?
