Saudi Arabia seeks expulsion of Yemeni workers in the form of a prisoner exchange case.
The head of the Captive Affairs Committee in the Yemeni National Salvation Government, referring to Saudi Arabia’s evil intentions, said that the people Saudi Arabia sent to Aden were not prisoners of war.
In an interview with Al-Mayadin, Abdul Qadir al-Murtada, head of the Committee for the Affairs of Prisoners in the Yemeni National Salvation Government, said that the case of the prisoners was humane and should not be subject to any political calculations.
He added that those who were sent to Aden by Saudi Arabia were workers, not captives; Saudi behavior is intentional and contains malicious intentions.
Al-Murtada continued that Saudi Arabia is trying to improve its image through unrealistic humanitarian initiatives. It also seeks to slander the use of foreign elements in the Yemeni army and popular committees.
He stressed that the case of the prisoners is a trust-building case and any disturbance in it will affect other cases as well. These Saudi actions lead to stoning in the case.
Al-Murtada announced Sanaa’s readiness to complete the prisoner exchange case, saying that the Sanaa Prisoners’ Affairs Committee works only on prisoners of war.
He also told Al-Masira that Saudi Arabia is seeking the integration of Yemeni and foreign workers and their expulsion from their country in the form of special prisoner exchange initiatives.
The spokesman for the Saudi coalition, Turki al-Maliki, announced yesterday (Friday) the flight of the first plane carrying prisoners to Yemen.
