Sukkur:
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Khursheed Shah has said that the incident took place in Saudi Arabia. It is not right for the case to be held here. But it shouldn’t have happened.
We think that this case should end. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif listens to me then I address him. The Interior Minister is tolerant and serious. He should pay attention to the matter.
Khursheed Shah further said that action should be taken against those who take the law into their own hands. The cases filed against him were challenged in the court.
Former Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court in this regard. High Court Asad Khan confirmed the receipt of the petition.
The petition takes a stand that any action of FIA or police should be declared as null and void, on what basis the reasons for filing cases should be informed, harassment of persons named in cases should be stopped. The cases registered throughout the country should be directed to be brought on record and the fundamental rights of the petitioners and their associates should be prevented from being violated.
It may be recalled that after Faisalabad, a case was also registered against Imran Khan and others in Attock on the charge of Masjid-e-Nabawi incident. Murad Saeed, Sheikh Rashid and many others have been nominated. Earlier, a case has been registered against 150 persons including PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Sheikh Rashid, Fawad Chaudhry, Shahbaz Gill, Qasim Suri, Anil Mussarat and Sahibzada Jahangir in Faisalabad over the incident that took place in Masjid-e-Nabawi. In the case registered in I, 4 sections have been imposed including the section of blasphemy.
