ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet has approved the appointment of Rai Tahir Hussain of the police service as DG FIA.
Rai Tahir has previously served as IG Balochistan Police and Additional IG Counter Terrorism Department Punjab.
After the Sahiwal tragedy, the then IG CTD Rai Tahir was sacked and Rao Sardar was given additional charge of IG CTD. However, after the JIT clearance of the Sahiwal tragedy, Rai Tahir was reinstated.
