ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Miftah Ismail’s name was removed from the ECL at the first meeting of the Exit Control List (ECP) at the Ministry of Law and Justice.
A meeting of the ECL committee of the cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Federal Prime Minister Nazir Tarar in which Miftah Ismail’s name was removed from ECL for one time. After the decision, Muftah Ismail will be allowed to go abroad.
In this regard, the sources said that the meeting considered and consulted on the removal of the names of political figures including federal ministers from the ECL.
According to the details, the committee is reviewing the names and procedures of the ECL, how the names of important political personalities were included in the ECL, after which the committee is preparing recommendations.
The committee is also examining the reasons for the names of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and other important political figures to join the ECL, after which the committee will present its recommendations to the federal cabinet.
The meeting was attended by Federal Ministers Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Naveed Qamar, Maulana Asad Mehmood and others.
