Islamabad : Zahid Akram Durrani of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam has been nominated as Deputy Speaker National Assembly.
The newly elected federal government has so far elected the Speaker of the National Assembly in addition to the Prime Minister, while the federal cabinet has not been announced yet. However, it has been decided which party will be the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly. Sources said that Zahid Akram Durrani of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam has been nominated for the post of Deputy Speaker National Assembly.
Sources said that Zahid Akram Durrani has received the nomination papers, and the National Assembly Secretariat has also issued a schedule for the election of the Deputy Speaker, under which the nomination papers for the Deputy Speaker were received by 12 noon on April 19.
