The Foreign Office has once again strongly condemned terrorists operating in Pakistan from Afghan soil and called on the Afghan government to secure the Pak-Afghan border area.
In response to media queries regarding recent incidents on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, the Foreign Office spokesman said that in the last few days, Pak. There has been a significant increase in incidents on the Afghan border, with Pakistani security forces being targeted across the border.
A statement issued by the Foreign Office said that the terrorists were using Afghan territory for operations inside Pakistan. The Foreign Office said in a statement that Pakistan and Afghanistan have been working for the past several months through the relevant agencies for effective coordination and security along the long shared border.
“Unfortunately, banned terrorist groups, including the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), continue to attack Pakistani border security posts in the border area, resulting in the martyrdom of several Pakistani soldiers,” he said.

It may be recalled that Pakistan had yesterday summoned the Afghan Foreign Office to protest the firing of terrorists from Afghanistan near the border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
This is the second time a Taliban diplomat has been summoned to Islamabad this month.
Earlier, Pakistan had summoned the Taliban’s deputy ambassador in Balochistan after a Pakistani helicopter caught fire near the Pakistani border.
According to an official, a bullet hit the helicopter, however, no one was injured in the firing.
A statement from the Foreign Office stated that “there have been two incidents of protests against the Afghan government.
The statement said that in the first incident, on April 14, Afghan border forces opened unprovoked fire on Pakistani army positions in Chitral district where the firing continued for five to six hours.
