Civilian casualties in clashes between terrorists in al-Hasakah, Syria.
Violent clashes between terrorist groups in the northeastern Syrian province of al-Hasakah claimed the lives of civilians.
Violent clashes between Turkish-backed groups in the town of Ras al-Ain in northwestern al-Hasakah province injured a number of civilians, including a child.
The official Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported that terrorist groups called “Farqa al-Hamza”, “Badr Martyrs”, “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” and “Ahrar al-Awiran”, all affiliated with the Turkish regime, entered the city of Ras al-Ain in al-Hasakah province in northern Syria. Violent clashes ensued.
According to the report, a number of civilians, including a child, as well as a number of members of terrorist groups were killed in the clashes.
In addition to supporting terrorists opposed to the Syrian government, Turkey has long been violating the territorial integrity of northern Iraq and Syria under the pretext of confronting the PKK.
The PKK, which has been at loggerheads with the Ankara government for the past 35 years, is considered a terrorist group by Turkey, the United States and the European Union. Turkey says PKK militants are responsible for the deaths of more than 40,000 Turkish citizens, including women and children.
Recently, the Turkish Air Force attacked and destroyed Christian areas in northern Syria, including an Assyrian Christian village, under the pretext of attacking PKK positions.
