The internal story of the meeting of the government committee with the PML-Q leadership came to light after the no-confidence motion was filed by the opposition.
Pervez Elahi and Monis Elahi were present at the meeting in Islamabad yesterday while Chaudhry Shujaat was present at the house but did not attend the meeting.
Sources said that the government committee complained about the Chaudhry brothers’ meetings with the opposition leadership, to which Pervez Elahi replied that he too was in touch with our political opponents, the Gujarat League assembly members.
Sources say that Pervez Elahi said that the opposition offered us the Chief Ministership. Why don’t you give it?
On this, the government committee said that our members of the assembly did not agree to give the chief ministership to the PML-Q.
The government committee also said that the second formula is to bring a Chief Minister on whom you and the Tareen group agree.
According to sources, the name of Mian Aslam Iqbal is under consideration for the new Punjab Chief Minister.
Sources said that the Chaudhry brothers had asked for time till Sunday for a final reply.
According to sources, Monis Elahi will meet Imran Khan at Bani Gala on Sunday at 7 pm and he will inform the PTI leadership of his final decision.
