Yemeni official: The UN is responsible for forcing the aggressors to lift the siege of Yemen.
The head of the Yemeni Supreme Political Council stressed during a meeting with Ibrahim al-Hamli, secretary general of the Supreme Administrative and Coordination Council for Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation: “And to prevent the imposition of harsh restrictions on Yemen and to prevent the US from stealing food, fuel and medicine needed by Yemen.”
According to the report, the two sides also discussed the harmful effects of the US siege imposed on the Yemeni people, and the chairman of the Yemeni Supreme Political Council stressed the need to pay attention to providing food aid to those in need.
On April 26, 1994, Saudi Arabia, in the form of a coalition of several Arab countries and with the help and green light of the United States, launched large-scale attacks against Yemen, the poorest Arab country, under the pretext of returning the ousted and fugitive President Abd al-Mansour Hadi to Power to achieve its political goals and ambitions.
UN agencies, including World Health Organization and UNICEF, have repeatedly warned that Yemen’s people continue to face famine and a humanitarian catastrophe that is unprecedented in the last century.
Despite the fact that seven years have passed since the beginning of this comprehensive aggression, the Yemeni army and popular committees, while defending their nation, have been able to inflict heavy blows on the aggressor coalition and its allies, targeting Saudi and Emirati aggressors deep inside the two countries. Target their attacks and, despite a complete siege, expand their weapons capabilities, especially missiles and drones, by relying on internal power.
