In a tweet regarding the blast in Peshawar yesterday, Fawad Chaudhry said that extremism is used by the enemy as a weapon.
The Federal Minister further wrote in his tweet that extremism is the result of not playing the role of pulpit, school and police station. Will have to do which requires consensus.
It may be recalled that 57 people were martyred and more than 100 injured in a suicide blast at the Jamia Masjid during Friday prayers in Qissa Khawani Bazaar of Peshawar yesterday.
A case of suicide bombing at the mosque has been registered. CTD has arrested two suspects. Investigation into the suicide bombing is underway. Investigators found seven pistol shells at the scene. The assailant used a 9mm pistol. CCTV cameras are being checked in different areas. Blood and body parts of the suspect were also taken from the scene and their DNA will be tested so that the attacker can be identified and the culprits can be easily reached, said Khan Raziq police station. A letter of further action was sent to the CTD after which the case was registered. The case included murder, attempted murder and terrorism provisions.
