Trump’s closed ones summoned to court for spreading lies.
The Congressional Investigative Committee said in a statement that it had sent subpoenas to six people close to Donald Trump who helped him falsely claim widespread fraud in the 2020 election.
According to Reuters, these include Donald Trump’s lawyer and adviser, Celta Mitchell, Christina Bob, a correspondent for the right-wing news network One American, and members of Donald Trump’s legal team, and Kenneth Chesbrough, Trump’s lawyer.
Former Attorney General Philip Klein has been summoned to court by the Congressional Inquiry Committee to substantiate his allegations of fraud in the 2020 presidential election.
“The committee is looking for information about efforts to disrupt the election process and change the outcome,” said Benny Thompson, Democratic chairman of the Jan. 6 Inquiry Committee.
Thompson continued: “The six people who were summoned to court this time all have information and documents about this that can help the committee to get to the truth of the matter.
The Congressional Investigative Committee is working to determine all the actions of Donald Trump and those close to the former US president in connection with the unprecedented Jan. 6 attack on the main building of Congress. The former US president will be prosecuted if Donald Trump’s role in the January 6 riots is proven.
