The Times writes that a new phase in history has begun, and that the current structure of the world is facing its biggest challenge since the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, which includes not only Russia’s actions on the Ukrainian border but also China’s actions in Asia. The flourishing friendship between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping may be based on the idea that my enemy’s enemy is my friend.
Common goal of Russia and China
The Times writes that Moscow and Beijing both aim to end the US-led world order, and that both countries want their spheres of influence to be recognized.
