Suspicious purpose of opening an American university in Iraq.
By establishing American-style Educational centers in Iraq, the US government seeks to change the lifestyles and thoughts of the country’s youth and adolescents, consequently, changing Iraq’s future leaders.
Influencing and interfering in the affairs of a country by appointing affiliated individuals and officials is one of the effective methods of the arrogant power to fulfill its desires and aspirations in different parts of the world. In addition to militarism and direct military intervention, the spread of the idea of dependence and confrontation with independence through influential and trained nuts is one of the most effective tools for securing the interests and wealth of nations.
The land of Iraq is one of the obvious examples in which both of these colonial methods have been implemented! Eighteen years after the US military intervention under the pretext of the existence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq – the falsity of which has been exposed to all – we are now witnessing widespread movements to train Iraqi youngsters to move in the direction of the Great Satan.
The inauguration of the American University campus in Baghdad, although accompanied by widespread and deceptive propaganda, such as attempts to raise the level of higher education in Iraq, is the fact that the United States has failed to achieve its sinister goals through a military strike. Thus has adopted the policy of soft war and pursues this goal with various tools.
Set up in a very large campus using green space and artificial lakes, the university includes 14 faculties from the American University. “I feel more like the mayor of a big city than the chancellor of a university,” says Michael Mullenix, the American appointed principal.
However, the opposition of the head of the Iraqi Scientific Monitoring and Evaluation Organization to the establishment of this university led to the removal of the Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, in January of this year! “These facts are happening in front of the eyes of the Iraqi people, and all doctors and university professors, and cultural authorities should be aware of them and take action against such incidents,” said Jawad al-Musawi, president of the Iraqi Medical Association.
“The doctors’ union will not remain idle and will pursue this issue through law and parliament,” the Iraqi official added. According to him, such actions are an insult to Iraq and are undermining the higher education in that country.
Unfortunately, this is not the only US move to interfere in Iraq’s educational affairs with long-term and dangerous goals, and the White House has done other things to secure its illegitimate interests.
Another US project aimed at training forces for the future of Iraq is part of a project called IYLEP, which aims to nurture young Iraqis based on Western and American culture and change Iraq’s future leaders.
According to the official website of the US Embassy in Baghdad, the project includes Iraqi teenagers with special talents in various cultural, social, and scientific fields, and includes young people at the university level, and was first unveiled and launched in 2007. it has begun.
Participation in this project starts with registering online in the database introduced by the US State Department and includes talented Iraqi teenagers and young people, and all its expenses are paid by the US government!
In any case, what should be considered by Iraqi sympathizers and intellectuals is, first, to identify the factors that facilitate and promote American projects in their country, and to deprive them of the possibility of their presence in power by consciously participating in the elections. And secondly, to take an active and wise stance against such dangerous plans, so that, God forbid, the Iraqi youth will not be ideologically and morally deviated by the American intelligence services and will not become elements for the destruction of Iraqi culture.
