Trump angrily cut short his interview with the American media.
The former US president got angry and hung up the phone in an interview after being asked about attacking Congress and rigging last year’s election.
Former United States President Donald Trump cut short an interview with an American media outlet on Wednesday night over questions about the 2020 election and the attack on Congress.
In a telephone interview with NPIAR, Trump reiterated his allegations of fraud in last year’s US presidential election and the theft of ballots from him, but did not respond when asked about the evidence.
In this controversial interview, the former US president was confronted with statements made by various Republican officials, including his own appointed judges, which the host read, saying that all of them had confirmed the result of the election in favor of “Joe Biden”.
In response, Trump angrily described the men as “just in the name of Republicans” and called Mitch McConnell, the party’s minority leader in the US Senate, a “loser.”
In his first interview with Trump since 2015, the network host asked: “Does your support for the Republican candidates in the 2022 congressional elections require them to emphasize your position in the previous election?”
“They will do whatever they want, whatever they have to do,” the former US president replied angrily. “But those who are smart and informed will have an opinion on it (alleging election fraud).”
“People do not know how big this issue (fraud) is, and they (pro-Trump Republicans) do not want it to happen again,” he said sharply. “This should not be allowed to happen again, and they do not want it to happen again.”
