Expressing grief over the tragedy in Murree due to heavy rains and snowfall, Prime Minister Imran Khan issued instructions to rescue the people. Thousands of vehicles were stranded in Murree due to heavy tourist rush and snowfall and according to the latest reports, 19 people have died in the vehicles.
According to details, Special Assistant Dr Shahbaz Gul in his statement on social networking site Twitter said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed his sorrow over the tragedy caused by heavy snowfall in Murree and instructed the people to rescue. Dr Shahbaz Gul said that all Institutions have been mobilized, all institutions have been mobilized to clean up the areas, if anyone is responsible then action should be taken against him.
“We have to make an inquiry and determine who is responsible. However, our priority at the moment is to evacuate the stranded people. At the moment, our priority is to evacuate the tourists to safer places. People in the US are being trained to avoid snowfall,” he said. “This is not the time to put responsibility on anyone. We need to train people to avoid disasters,” he said.
Dr. Shahbaz Gul said that tourists have been prevented from dying since last evening and rescue operation is underway to evacuate the stranded tourists. No one expected that there would be so much snowfall.
