China: About 325,000 women and children are victims of sexual slavery in the United States.
A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said between 240,000 and 325 women and children in the United States were currently victims of sexual slavery.
A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman on Monday released statistics on some social’s problems in the United States.
“On forced labor, this title is more worthy of the United States than anyone else,” Zhao Lijian, a spokesman for China’s diplomatic service, told a daily news conference. “There are about 500,000 child farm workers in the United States.”
He added: “Approximately 240,000 to 350,000 women and children in the United States are victims of sexual slavery. “Over the past five years, nearly 100,000 people have been trafficked to the United States each year for forced labor.”
A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman advised US officials involved in China’s internal affairs to focus on their own domestic affairs.
“They need to pay some attention to those children who have fallen victim to forced labor. They need to save women and children who have been victims of sex slavery and pay tribute to those African Americans who died forced labor on cotton farms,” he said.
Fortune wrote a few years ago that human trafficking in the United States is a pervasive phenomenon and a big business.
